Fly Bassin'

Postby pokey308 » Jun Mon 16, 2014 6:34 pm

Hit a neighborhood pond today after work. Had a pretty stellar 1.5hr. Manage a total of 5 with even more misses. Was using a deer hair popper. These were the biggest of the ones landed.

I use an 8wt. I have it loaded with SA Sharkskin Magnum Taper. Really makes it easy to turn over big bugs. Glad I found it on clearance. Lol.

How long is your 8wt. My 8wt is only 7'10". I turn big flies easy when there's no wind but in the wind I can fail bad sometimes
