Yellowwood Lake

Postby Prybis » Apr Tue 26, 2016 5:05 pm

Instead of going to Summit Lake today, I went to Yellowwood Lake. I got there around 10 or 10:30 and was on the water as quickly as possibly. Fishing was slow but I did get some gills on the fly rod. I only spotted one area with the honeycomb neat of gills. I called it guilts about 1:30 and was on my way home by 2. I ended up keeping 9 for dinner.

Did they ever improve the ramp at Yellowwood. I used to fish it back in the late 70's and we had trouble putting a small boat in because the ramp was sow shallow. That was a beautiful lake back then with pretty good fishing.

It looks as if they Improved the main boat ramp. Even paved the parking are and put down new lines. The one at the shallow end of the lake appears to be the same. They are done dredging the lake at it seems to be doing great.
