Postby Orthocad1 » Dec Sat 03, 2016 11:26 pm

Looking for the water depth off Michigan City pier? Also the channel near the Coast Gaurd Station?

Thanks, Scott

It varies, there is a lot of sand movement. And occasional dredging. So it varies by location and also over time.

In general, 8-14 feet on the creek side. Shallower in the elbow. Deeper as you go out. Deeper as you go out on the lake side. 20+ off the end of the pier.

Channel is maybe 14-18

There's a small hole where the entrance to the Washington Park Marina is
“Like winds and sunsets, wild things were taken for granted until progress began to do away with them. Now we face the question whether a still higher 'standard of living' is worth its cost in things natural, wild and free. For us of the minority, the opportunity to see geese is more important than television.”
