You ever tried one yourself? They are actually pretty good. I catch them out of the white river and ohio river down here I keep them a lot of times. Fry up just as good as cat fish I think.
why does everything have to get in the way of fishing and hunting?

Yep, ate many of them growing up on the White River in Greene County. :tup

I heard drum were good eating but i just see them as aggressive carp. I might have to try cooking one up one day!

They are super fun to catch and boy do they hit a lure like a freight train. I don't ever get upset when I hook into one. Nice catch good job.

They sure are fun to catch! Id take drum on the line any day. Super fun. Especially in the creeks they fight so hard in the creeks! I often mistaken them for big smallies when im smallie fishing.

I've only caught them when I've been tossing hardware for steelhead. It's good practice for fighting fish on light line. The fun factor doesn't hurt either.
