Fishing was really good Saturday and Sunday for the Rob Dane crew. Both days we had limits of eyes trolling bandits and harnesses west of the marina.
The annual rewards fishing trip saw 5 of my 7th graders take to the waters of Lake Erie Monday in search of walleye. This is a way of showing my appreciation for their hard work in the classroom. We were blessed with awesome weather and great fishing! The kids caught their limit of 30 walleye and we able to capture two others as we were pulling lines. For being newbies, they all did a great job of setting lines, baiting hooks, netting fish, taking fish off, and keeping the lines from being tangled. Lots of smiles and laughs were had by all.
