Stafford 1/16

Postby Rico » Jan Mon 16, 2012 7:57 pm

I should have fished yesterday but didn't, so I made it out today after getting a few things done in the morning. The lane going back was fine and I found myself on a good 2-3 inches of clear ice off the pier. Unfortunately the bite sucked, I caught 3 gills in 4 hours. The ice was bowing pretty good with my "113 lbs" on it. I missed one good hit that had my rod doubled over......I would like to think it was a crappie, but the way it came on the screen I would say more like a bass or a channel cat. Got some more stuff to do in the morning, but after that I am fishing.......errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....weather permitting!!!!!!!!!!

I counted 12 guys out on the gardens tonight. One fellow said there was 2" of ice. 2" ok, but 12 guys in a small area ,maybe not? Man RICO at least wear a life jacket and have your ice spikes around your neck.Hell Keystone will have to file for bankrupt if something would happen to you :rotf :beerchug

Im jealous, Rico. At least you've gotten out "locally" a few times. Heck, i'd be happy to just get out and sit on a bucket.

Who needs sleep? I appreciate the offer and may some day take you up on it.
