Nice find and an interesting article. It makes me think about something though. As we become more knowledgeable and with our electronics becoming more advanced, we're becoming more efficient and successful. Because of this over-fishing is going to become a bigger issue. Selective harvest, not fishing during spawn times, limits, stocking and other conservation efforts will be paramount to maintaining our fishing resources.

I see it in a lot of states for catfishing and protecting big fish, but in the states where a lot of commercial fishing takes place, not so much---

We have had several discussions on here regarding conservation practices. One thing that I really don't hear talked about that much in the "media circles" is how electronics have exploded onto the fishing scene. It wasn't all that long ago when I would go ice fishing and nobody had them. Now I walk out onto the ice and everyone is using them. The same can be said for the boats on open water. Things have definitely changed within the last 20 years.
