I've got 6 coming. My 2 boys(Chase & Colton) and myself will be there camping Friday afternoon and my parents(Barney & Janet) and my wife(Kim) will be there Saturday. I'll have a 5 gallon dutch oven for frying and also a smaller one with burners and tanks, a couple 6' folding tables, Mom's making some kind of dessert and the wife said she'd make cookies, a few coolers, ice.

Eric, I'm thinking we talked about this but I can't remember, what about fish breading? I've got a 5 pound bag of Andy's and my Mom said she'd make up a bunch of her's if we need it?

If y'all want to make a video of the fishing, Chase and me can hop on a couple boats or we even talked about bringing Dad's boat to use as a "camera boat?" We'd probably just be in the way though.  We're up for anything when it comes to that.

Let me know if there's anything else we can bring. :usflag1

You guys and gals are just awesome doing a awesome thing.
Fisherman's Prayer
I pray that I may live to fish
Until my dying day
And when it comes to my last cast,
I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
And peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be Judged
BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.

Sounds like a lot of our volunteers will be camping Friday night. I will be camping Thurs, Fri, and Sat. Maybe we can meet around one of the campfires Friday night and discuss how we are going to pull this thing off especially in the morning.
I'll make a list of some jobs that people can sign up for.

My crew is also planning on grilling brats and hotdogs.

Troy if you and your Mother wish to bring the breading that is fine. I will pay you for it out of the grocery donations.

I think the camera boat things sounds like a great idea. Plus I see no reason to have your folks come to the lake without bringing the boat!LOL

One of our volunteers coming with me.....Jeff Wilsons Father, may be bringing his Bad Boy buggy. That will work out GREAT to chauffeur the guys running boat trailers up to park, and back, and take our guests, and coolers, gear etc, up to the shelter house when they get dropped off! Save a LOT of walking on everybody's part. He was going to check the batteries to be sure they'd hold up.

We have ordered 10 gallon of cooking oil for the fish, taters, and whatever else. Is that enough?

I was able to postpone my trip to China. Are more captains needed? If so, I am in. If not, I can help with the other stuff.

yes more captains are needed. From what I am gathering there will be 40 plus soldiers. Some will be accompanied by their father, or a wife to aid them.
So if you can make it we would appreciate it.

Thanks, my buddy is also bringing his big progressive fryer. He said it can operate on 5 gallons.
That will leave a couple gallon for the fries etc.
