The slough

Postby HIGHFLAGS » Jan Sun 24, 2016 5:54 pm

Got out early Saturday with some friends had a fun day chasing flags .

Mike and I had 36 flags . Caught a ton of bass and 2 pike. Released all to grow and maybe catch again .
Drilled a mess of holes looking fir gills ... Not much luck. Gill bite very slow.
I Did see the massive weed kill in the back. All I can say is wow!!

Here are a few pics....

How do you like that style tip up? I have 2 in the package but I don't know if I like the design.

So far so good.. your hole never freezes and you can see them running with the crank handle. I also like the cork on the spool for keeping your hook in. the horizontal spool helps with good hook ups verses side ways type.

cons...not good in snow you can see them, you need to make a post to set next to them, unlike hi flags that you can see from a long ways out
also short flags so you need to keep em close.

I did put my night time lamps in a zip lock baggie..in the built in tackle box.
