Shakamak 2-14-14

Postby Greenedog » Feb Sat 15, 2014 2:12 am

Did some fishing during the little winter storm this evening. Went out to Shakamak and fished the roadbed on Kickapoo Lake. Decided to try bigger jigs and hopefully catch bigger fish. It was slow going, but I did manage a few. Gotta give some props to G&G Bait Co....I thought the Lindy "Frostee" jig would be the ticket....but what the big ones wanted was a G&G Icer Glow jig.

Looks like the end is near. There's about a foot of ice at Shakamak's lakes, but the edges will go fast. They already went once this season about a month ago.
Better get 'em while we can...
