Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Postby eye spy » Mar Thu 21, 2013 6:45 pm

Not much new to report on the fishing side of things. As I look out my dining room window, the ground is white with an air temp of 24 and a wind chill of 12. I talked to a buddy today who said the couple of charters who thought it would be a good idea to put their boats in early are having second thoughts; their boats are frozen in at their docks! It is supposed to be in the teens again tonight so I wouldn't be surprised if there is between an inch and two inches of ice in the marina by tomorrow morning.

This is crazy. I saw some ice on ponds that were completely open a few days ago. Just saw an article talking about a big warm up coming soon that will give us a very warm spring???

I hope you are right but I just looked at the 10 day forecast for here and the highest temp I saw was 41. I hopefully that forecast changes because my spring break starts next Thursday and runs through April 7th.

A few guys braved it today and most returned ton the ramps with skunks. I only heard of a couple fish being caught all day. We have a winter storm watch going into effect at 8pm tomorrow with 4-6 inches of snow expected and wind gusts up to 30mph. Sounds like I will be working on the boat for a couple of days.
