Mushrooms

Postby diver268 » Feb Fri 17, 2017 8:49 pm

With all this crazy weather we are having and with what is projected through next Friday, I would not be surprised if someone down around Linton finds a few mushrooms next weekend. Any body else think so ?

They dont have a cale dar. If ground temps are above 48, they will form primordia...if humidity and temps stay above freezing...mushrooms will occur.

I live in the Linton area and the earliest I've found them since I started keeping track is March 15th and that was in 2012. But it really wouldn't surprise me if someone found some this week! This weather is crazy...just wish I wasn't working the next 5 nights.

How have you been Greendog....haven't talked with you for a while, hope your doing well. Let me know if you hear of any found. Just to satisfy my curiosity. We are planning on coming down the 30th and 31st of March and the 1st and 2nd of April. Hoping to get some gills and mushrooms both. I was thinking about coming down this weekend just for a day since the crappies are biting down there but have to work at the boat sport and travel show this weekend. Anyway please let me know when they find some. Take care.
