I believe they are called Pheasant Backs and I have seen many reports this year of people eating them. I checked pheasant back recipes on google and there were lots of ways to prepare them. We picked some yesterday, but I gave mine to the property owner to try.

Polyporus squamosas aka oheasants back, cooked they taste like pants. Raw they taste like cucumber, tough- not worth the effort to oick and carry them.
You never see a fishing boat parked in front of a psychiatrists office .....
