Opening day

Postby iceman10 » Apr Sat 30, 2016 7:48 pm

I got to my blind at 5:30 knowing I watched 6 Toms and a bunch of hens roost in my woods the night before . The woods was quiet as day light hit , I called once and no answers . I had three hens come in and feed by my decoys and off they went with no Toms following , I stayed patient without calling again . I decided after 2 hours I would breakout the coffee and fruit breakfast and sure enough here come 2 Toms coming to my decoys one strutting the whole time with the other one hanging real close . The strutter was the biggest of the 2 birds 22lb , 10 3/4" beard with 1" Spurs . I saw a ton of birds the rest of the week, won't be long & we will have a 2 bird spring season !Image
