How bad is too bad

Postby NWIangler » Oct Tue 03, 2017 5:39 pm

So i went to salt over the weekend and since i got skunked i thought i would look for some dead fish hoping to find some eggs. I found 2 dead coho filled with nice tight eggs but one of the coho's eggs were questionable. They are pretty dark red but are still in tact. Not a peach color. The left skein is the one thats questionable. I was curious if they would still be good to cure up for bait.

I'd use them wish I was closer to all the salmon creeks, some day I need to just head up that way when the run is good. Hell might just make a michigan trip buddy I work with is from Manistee, and has buddies that fish the manistee river in northern michigan for the salmon and steelies.
why does everything have to get in the way of fishing and hunting?

Michigan runs put Indiana to shame. Hundreds of rivers and creeks to choose from and tons of public fishing access.

I believe you can also wade anywhere in Michigan as private property ends at the water line. Could be wrong about that though.

My brother lives 20 miles northwest of Cadillac, near the Manistee. He has a small trout stream with Brookies in it and people are allowed to wade the stream, right through his property, as long as they don't get out of the water.
