New from Elkhart Indiana

Postby Rmead8891 » Jul Sat 08, 2017 9:58 am

New to fishing the Elkhart area. Mostly fly fishing while wading. Just started on trying for steelhead this year and hope to hook into one for the first time to check it off my bucket list!

Welcome from Goshen. Never have done much flyfishing, but have landed a fish or two in my day. Glad to have you on board.

Thanks everyone. I've been tying up some fly patterns to help me catch one. I hope to try them out tomorrow or throughout the week.

Welcome from Elkhart also
Fisherman's Prayer
I pray that I may live to fish
Until my dying day
And when it comes to my last cast,
I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
And peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be Judged
BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.

There are no steelhead in the South Bend stretch of the St. Joseph river. None.
You never see a fishing boat parked in front of a psychiatrists office .....
