white river at anderson

Been thinking about fishing up there. Mounds and Riverside park look like they might have some good spots. Anybody have any luck there? Can you still pull sauger this time of year?

I wouldn't count on catching any Sauger. My friends and I fish it regularly and we have only pulled one out of there. Great for smallies and catfish though. I mostly fish downstream of Anderson though.

Smallies seem to bite really often. I have fished there a lot, mainly at night for catfish. A better spot is about 15 minutes west in Strawtown

I fished at Riverside park Thursday. It wasn't bad, 2 rockies. It wasn't white river though, it was the creek or whatever that flows into it there. I was thinking about Perkinsville and Strawtown. I talked to the Lady at Koteewi and she said it was ok to fish there but I haven't done it yet. I'd like to go to one of those places today but with last night's rain, I think it would be a futile effort.
