How about that weather today? When I saw the forecast I could not pass up the day on the water. Called my fishing buddies and Steve and Deb decided to join me. I have never fished Lake Lemon before. Last week I watched a fishing show that was filmed on Lake Lemon and decided it would be a good place to go. Its about 2 hours from my home, after the cold windy rainy day yesterday I was optimistic about the fishing.
We launched from Lake Lemon Conservancy district. Very adequate ramp and nice dock. They stop charging after thanksgiving so that was a bonus. They also said they would be moving the dock at sometime but that it would still be accessible just not next to ramp.
There was hardly anyone on the lake. I concentrated on the creek channels using minnows and jigs. Fishing was slow. Bites were very light. We managed to catch about a dozen crappie. maybe 6 or seven decent, no big ones and the others were small. All the fished were released at end of day. It was quite breezy at times, water temp was 49 degree. And after the sun popped out the air temp was at 62. Very nice weather for end of November. We enjoy the day on the water very much.
Lunch we had my Jerky and Smoked salmon. Zakk had his Chicken feet and a little Salmon. On the way home we stopped by Butler Winery for a sample and purchase of some great wine.
