camped this last weekend with the boy scout troop that I'm in charge of we camped at the maumee scout reservation in hoosier national forest just south of lake monroe kind of close to norman indiana. It has a great little lake in the camp managed to fish a decent bit saturday and sunday morning with some of the boys caught quiet a few bass. Most were had in little channels that lead from the shallows to the main deeper part of the lake. Made since sure most the bass were prespawn beginning to move in to spawn some were taken in the shallows we were getting them on everything from soft craws, tubes, flukes, and some top water. Biggest bass was only around 15" one of the boys caught a whale crappie that was 14". I'd say the pattern of bass moving in to spawn would continue this coming weekend if the weather stays decent.
why does everything have to get in the way of fishing and hunting?
