fished a creek last night in lawrence county is about as much detail as I'll give to it for some smallies with a buddy. Been meaning to try the creek for while we waded around for around 2-3 hrs maybe covering a 1/3 mile stretch. Did pretty well each of us had 4-5 little google eyes, 4-5 little smallmouth bass from 8-10 inches. I had one decent one around 13" so did my buddy. He lost a nice one that probably would have been the big fish for the evening. Not sure how big it was but it was fighting and pulling pretty hard. I will have to fish the said creek more as I'm sure if I really explore and find some better holes it probably has some decent fish. Either rate was a fun evening wading around in swim trunks when it was hot, all fish were released to fight another day. Most of mine were had on a small yum 2.5" crawbug on a small stand up jig head. Buddy had a few on a jewel sculpin, and some on a small craw as well. Tried a little rapala minnow jerk bait but had no takers on that surprisingly. Water was still a little muddied up from the down pour the area got this past sunday. Sorry no pictures we were wading around in swim shorts and didn't want to ruin our phones so they were left in the car, and I forgot my little water proof camera.
Looking forward to this weekend taking the boy scout troop camping at maumee scout camp should get some good fishing in there this weekend with them. Suppose to be pretty nice weather hope that holds true.
why does everything have to get in the way of fishing and hunting?
